Edie Lohmann, FEMA Region IX NFIP Flood Insurance Specialist will be joining us to discuss: The National Flood Insurance Program is in the process of implementing Congressionally mandated reforms required by legislation passed in 2012 and 2014 that impacts every aspect of the program. Key provisions of the legislation will require the NFIP to raise rates to reflect true flood risk, make the program more financially stable, and change how Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) updates impact policyholders.
