Michelle Lind ends her tenure with the Arizona Association of REALTORS® (AAR) effective January 1, 2024. She has represented AAR in different capacities for over 30 years – as Legal Hotline and outside legal counsel for 8 years, General Counsel beginning in 1999, and as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) beginning in December 2012.  In April 2022, she stepped down as CEO to serve ‘Of Counsel’ to the Association until the end of 2023.

Some of the accomplishments of which Michelle is most proud include:

  • Serving on the 1993 Forms Committee (AAR Committee of the Year) that revised the then two-page legal sized purchase contract to the current format that is used state-wide.
  • Serving on the Arizona Department of Real Estate Disclosure Law Instructor Development Workshop Committee that developed the Buyer Advisory in 2002.
  • Teaching at 53 classes across the state in 2005 introducing the revised purchase contract that included the “Cure Period.”
  • Authoring in 2006 the book Arizona Real Estate: A Professional’s Guide to Law and Practice, which is now in its 4th edition.
  • Developing the Certified Risk Management Specialist program (rCRMS) Curriculum, which is based upon her book.
  • The successful Prop 126 initiative prohibiting professional service taxes in 2018.

As CEO, she ensured the successful performance of the programs in the AAR Strategic and Business Plans and served with ten AAR Presidents.  Michelle developed Executive Committee and Board of Directors orientations and position descriptions to assist those in leadership.  She also increased the Association’s public relations presence, promoted the Arizona Housing Fund, and developed the ASU/AAR Mentorship Partnership.

“It has been my honor and privilege to serve the Arizona REALTORS®,” said Michelle.  “There are so many people to thank – past and current leadership, committee/workgroup members, and of course the Arizona REALTORS® staff.  You all make the Arizona REALTORS® the best state association in the nation!”

Going forward, Michelle will continue to work in the legal profession on a limited basis, providing legal research, writing and the drafting of transactional documents.  She will also teach in the rCRMS program.
