Licensing Requirements

You must complete 24 hours of approved continuing education every two years to renew a real estate license. Of the 24 hours required for renewal, you must obtain three hours credit in each of the following subjects:

  • Agency Law
  • Disclosure
  • Contract Law
  • Fair Housing
  • Commissioner’s Standards
  • Real Estate Legal Issues

The remaining six hours may be in any of these subjects or “general” courses.

Choose high-quality courses, such as those certified by AAR. Select instructors who are also active practitioners. Get more advice on choosing where to spend your CE dollars.

Before you select your next class, visit this site – like Yelp for real estate classes! Read reviews of courses and instructors. After you attend a class, write your own review as a resource for others.
