County Recorder Update



Arizona’s 15 County Recorder’s offices are responsible for the recording of real property records.
With coronavirus impacting each area of the state differently, each Recorder has determined the best course of action for their respective county.
Below you will find county specific information related to whether they are open or closed. Additionally, you’ll find relevant security measures and whether or not they offer E-Recording.
Apache

Coconino

E-Recording Available – YES
Safety Measures:
Due to COVID-19 health concerns, the Recorder’s Office will be implementing modified operations beginning on Monday, March 23, 2020. Our office will continue to provide services, including processing documents, copy requests, and E-recording. In person assistance will be limited at this time.
Hours of Operation: The Recorder’s Office will continue to answer phone calls and emails during regularly scheduled office hours, Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm PST. We are requesting that in person assistance be limited.
Contacting the Office: The Recording staff will continue to be available to answer questions. You may reach us by calling our main line at (928) 679-7850 or emailing recrdr@coconino.az.gov. You may also submit questions and concerns through our online inquiry form by clicking here. A member of our team will respond back within 1 business day.
The Recorder’s Office will continue to accept documents for recording through our third-party E-recording vendors, via the mail, and our downtown drop box. There will be a secure drop box in downtown Flagstaff to drop off documents for recording. When using the drop box, please include a valid phone number and email address, so we can contact you with any issues and concerns. Our drop box is located at:

Acceptable forms of payment include check, money order, or credit card. Please note there is a $1.95 service charge to pay with a credit card. Please contact our office for more details about paying with a credit card or our third-party E-recording vendors.
Cochise

La Paz

Maricopa

E-Recording Available – YES
Safety Measures:
“Notice: Any customer can mail a document to be recorded to 111 S. 3rd. Ave, Phoenix, Az. 85003
The fee to record a document is $30.00 and we accept checks via mail
It will take between 4-5 weeks before the document is mailed back to you
It may take 2 weeks to locate the recording using our grantor/grantee web index.
Any customer can go to deeds.com and set up an account to e-record (for a minimal fee). Forms can be purchased from this site, site does not give out legal advice on what form to use nor assist in the preparation of any form, site will e-record the document for the individual customer for a minimal fee, the fee to record any document in this manner will still be $30.00 per document in addition to the submitter fees.

Mohave

Safety Measures:
Office is open for email/phone. Closed for walk-ins until further notice. E-recordings can be recorded 8 AM – 4 PM. Documents are not being mailed in, they can be dropped off in an envelope outside of the building in treasury box (where you normally pay your taxes.)
Navajo

Safety Measures:
Office is open for mail and e-packages, but no walk-ins. One person at office, rest working from home. E-recordings available. Asking the public to please mail recordings in. Office closed to walk-ins until further notice.
Pima

Safety Measures:
In consideration of our citizens and employees, Yavapai County Recorder’s Office is suspending in-person customer service at the Prescott and Cottonwood locations as of Monday, March 30th, 2020. Customer service will be conducted solely via drop box, phone, standard mail or email.
Yuma

E-Recording Available – YES
Safety Measures:
Office is open and fully operational, but closed to the “public.” In cases of emergency they are still accepting appointments during the hours of 10 AM – 4 PM every half hour (for special circumstances). They are accepting e-recordings, and there is a physical drop box out front with a contact sheet (for people dropping documents off). Documents can also be mailed. They are running a shorter staff, but are still up and running. Return mail is taking an extra day or two, but all recordings are still being processed.
