Regional Nominating Committee Deadline To Submit Nominee To Arizona REALTORS®: SUNDAY, JANUARY 26, 2020

The filing period for members interested in serving as an Arizona REALTORS® Line Officer or Region Vice President (Regions 2 and 4) is Open.

Elections will be held during the March 26, 2020 Arizona REALTORS® Board of Directors meeting, which will be held in conjunction with the Arizona REALTOR® Convention.

Arizona REALTORS® Line Officers

Elections will be held for the open positions of President-Elect, First Vice President and Treasurer. These terms last one year and begin on December 1, 2020.


Applications are due to the Arizona REALTORS® office by Sunday, January 26, 2020. Please send all applications to Michelle Lind.

The Current 2021 Candidates for each office are:

TREASURER:
Shelley Ostrowski,
Yuma Association

FIRST VICE PRESIDENT:
Eric Gibbs,
Tucson Association

PRESIDENT-ELECT:
Gary Nelson,
Northern Arizona Association

Already elected as President-elect and will serve as PRESIDENT in 2021 (AAR Bylaws, Article V, Section 1):
Jan Leighton, West Maricopa Association


Region Vice President

Arizona REALTORS® will also hold elections for Region Vice President in:

Region 2 (West Maricopa, Phoenix)

Region 4 (Scottsdale, Southeast Valley Regional)

The RVPs will serve a two-year term beginning on December 1, 2021 and ending on November 30, 2023.

“An application containing the signature of the applicant’s member board AE or President shall be submitted to the current RVP no later than ninety (90) days prior to the election date.”
(Article VII, Section 7)

Current RVPs must notify the Arizona REALTORS® CEO of the region candidate by Sunday, January 26, 2020.


Qualifications

The following are the minimum criteria, per Arizona REALTORS® Bylaws, which must be met to qualify as a candidate for the above listed offices.

Criteria:

a)  REALTOR® member in good standing;

AND

b)  Knowledge of the Arizona REALTORS® Strategic Plan objectives;

AND

c)  Served as an elected officer of a local board/association for at least one (1) year;

OR

       Served at least one (1) year as an elected or appointed Arizona REALTORS® Director;

OR


    Served at least one (1) year on the Arizona REALTORS® Executive Committee.
