APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR 2020 ARIZONA REALTORS® OFFICER ELECTION – SUNDAY, JANUARY 27, 2019
The filing period is open for members interested in serving as an Arizona REALTORS® Line Officer or Region Vice President (Regions 1, 3 and 5) in 2020. Elections will be held during the Arizona REALTORS® Board of Directors meeting, which will be held in conjunction with the Arizona REALTOR® Convention in March 2019.

The Current 2020 Candidates for each office are:
Eric Gibbs, Tucson Association
FIRST VICE PRESIDENT:
Gary Nelson, Northern Arizona Association
Jan Leighton, West Maricopa County Regional Association
Already elected and will serve in 2020:
Mary Roberts, Lake Havasu Association, was elected as President-elect and will serve as 2020 President (AAR Bylaws, Article V, Section 1).
Region Vice President
Arizona REALTORS® will also hold elections for Region Vice President in:
Region 1 (Bullhead City/Mohave Valley, Kingman/Golden Valley, Lake Havasu, Yuma)
Region 3 (Central Arizona, Northern Arizona, Prescott Area, Sedona/Verde Valley, White Mountain)
Region 5 (Green Valley, Sahuarita, Santa Cruz County, Southeast Arizona, Tucson)
The RVPs will serve a two-year term beginning on December 1, 2019 and ending on November 30, 2021.

“An application containing the signature of the applicant’s member board AE or President shall be submitted to the current RVP no later than ninety (90) days prior to the election date.” (Article VII, Section 7)

Current RVPs must notify the Arizona REALTORS® CEO of the region candidate by Sunday, January 27, 2019.
The following are the minimum criteria, per Arizona Association of REALTORS® Bylaws, which must be met to qualify as a candidate for the above listed offices.
a) REALTOR® member in good standing;
b) Knowledge of the Arizona Association of REALTORS® Strategic Plan objectives;
c) Served as an elected officer of a local board/association for at least one (1) year;
Served at least one (1) year as an elected or appointed Arizona Association of
Served at least one (1) year on the Arizona Association of REALTORS®
