How REALTORS® advance in a shifting market 

It is no easy feat to manage expectations in an unfamiliar market that faces uncertainty and change, but as the 2024 president of the Arizona REALTORS®, representing more than 55,000 members, I believe in us, our knowledge and our abilities to succeed and provide a path for buyers and sellers, the heart of our market.

You can buy a golf course home in the Phoenix area for less than $400K

“There are 12,567 homes on the market, all homes, all price points across the Valley. Of that, 750 are golf course properties across the entire Valley, so it shows you it is a minimal number of houses on a golf course,” said Sindy Ready, the president-elect of the Arizona Association of Realtors.

Interest rates expected to decrease

Meanwhile, Shelley Ostrowski is the 2024 Arizona Association of Realtors President and she predicts this year more buyers will jump back into the market.

Ostrowski describes what a lower interest rate means locally.

“Even though our inventory is low it does make it affordable and it’s a very attractive place to live we’re close to California but we’re close to Phoenix,” said Ostrowski.

After a year of record-high interest rates and challenges posed from limited inventory, Arizona REALTORS are optimistic as they look ahead to a promising year for housing in the Grand Canyon State marked by steady developments that will benefit both buyers and sellers.

Return of housing boom? Arizona realtor is optimistic about market bounce back in 2024

Unlike the rest of the country, Arizona’s housing market stayed respectable during 2023, even with high-interest rates. Sindy Ready, the President-Elect of Arizona Realtors said homes appreciated 5% during the year. The state has a low inventory of homes coupled with more people moving to the area, keeping the market relatively competitive.
