NAR: Code of Ethics Training Required Only Every 3 Years

C2EX endorsement be an equivalency option

NAR’s Board of Directors approved a change to NAR’s Code of Ethics training requirement.

Originally, the training was required every four years, but in 2017, NAR changed the requirement to every two years. A presidential advisory group (PAG), appointed in 2019, made several recommendations to the NAR Leadership Team. One of its recommendations was to extend the requirement to every three years in order to give members more time to fit it into their continuing education schedule and to give local associations adequate time between cycles to administer the program.

The Code of Ethics cycle change was one of several recommendations of a 2019 presidential advisory group established to study the Code training requirement. Prior to the board meeting, NAR’s Leadership Team approved several recommendations of the PAG that didn’t require a board vote.

Good Works from REALTORS®

Region XI Vice President Paula Monthofer rounded up a few dozen REALTORS® from all over the U.S. and coordinated a brilliant effort to collect toiletry, food, water and clothing donations from NAR Annual meeting attendees.

All of those donations were separated and packed in to 175 totes which were then distributed to area homeless persons.  Excellent show of leadership skills and use of leftover items that otherwise would end up unused!  Way to go Paula!
