  The HomeWords program is being offered once again in high schools throughout Arizona in the 2007-08 school years. Watch this site for updates.

Hundreds of teachers and students in Arizona this fall will have an opportunity to learn about what it takes to buy or rent a home through HomeWords™, a newspaper-based educational program sponsored by the Arizona Association of REALTORS® (AAR) and licensed through The Arizona Republic’s Newspapers. In Education (NIE) program, in cooperation with local REALTOR® associations throughout the state. The links on this page will provide details and guidance to local associations who want to become involved in the HomeWords™ program in their communities.

370 high school students throughout Arizona competed for cash prizes by writing essays on the topic: ”What a Home and Homeownership Means to Me…” The essay contest is part of the overall HomeWords program that teaches high school students financial literacy, provides homeownership and rental information, and gives a picture of what the real estate business is like.
