Meet the Professional Standards Staff
OmbudsmanTrained REALTOR® Ombudsmen help to identify and clear up any miscommunication between the parties, explain customary Arizona real estate business practices, and discuss available options without judgment.
REALTOR® MediationTrained REALTORĀ® Mediators help to facilitate communication and assist the parties in an ethics complaint or arbitration dispute to reach a mutually agreeable resolution. The resolution is then reduced to writing, and signed by all parties.
EthicsREALTORS® pledge to abide by a Code of Ethics, or code of conduct, to their clients, customers, members of the public and fellow REALTORS®. The enforcement of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics is a responsibility of the REALTOR® Association.
ArbitrationResolution of disputes regarding entitlement to commissions and compensation may be an obligation of the REALTOR® Association, according to Article 17 of the Code of Ethics.
Buyer-Seller DisputeSome Arizona real estate purchase contracts provide remedies to resolve disputes between buyers and sellers. Disputes may concern earnest money, property condition, and others.
