AAR would like to thank 2009 AAR President Mike Wasmann for his leadership this year. Under his tenure, the association:

  • assembled a Short Sale & Foreclosure Task Force to educate members on how to navigate these often difficult transactions
  • transitioned Arizona REALTOR® Magazine online for more timely and cost-effective member communication
  • moved into the world of Facebook and Twitter
  • began work on the Course Certification Program, designed to set minimum standards for real estate curriculum
  • revamped the Certified Ethics Instructor Program
  • approved seven form revisions
  • placed positive articles about REALTORS® in local media
  • created a work group to study the feasibility of a state-wide MLS
  • spearheaded successful effort to repeal anti-deficiency statute changes
